There are three kinds of documents you’ll need to keep track of: cash related, project related, and shipping related. Mapping out each track before a program begins is the best way to make sure you don’t get flummoxed. Build a job jacket for each program, containing all the documents.

If you went ahead and mapped out your cash-to-cash commitments above, then you’ll have a list of cash-related documents. That’s your first track. Next, move on to project- and shipping-related documents.
